About the Role

As a Vice President of Sales at Percipio Health, you will play a critical role in driving the adoption of our AI-powered population health monitoring and decision support solutions. You will be responsible for identifying and engaging potential clients (health plans and health systems), presenting our innovative solutions, and closing deals to help healthcare organizations enhance their care delivery and collaboration.

This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, sales acumen, and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities

  • Client Acquisition: Identify and target potential clients, including large provider-led organizations, payers, ACOs, and health systems.

  • Sales Presentations: Effectively communicate the benefits of Percipio Health’s AI-driven solutions through compelling presentations and product demonstrations.

  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong trusting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations.

  • Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the Chief Growth Officer and sales team to develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets.

  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to effectively position Percipio Health’s solutions.

  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations, ensuring mutual value and alignment with client needs and company goals.

  • Client Support: Work closely with the customer success team to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing satisfaction of new clients.

  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status in the CRM system.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Management, Nursing or a related field.

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Healthcare Management, or similar) preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of total sales experience, with a strong emphasis on B2B sales to health plans, health systems, ACOs, and large physician-led organizations embracing value-based care arrangements.

  • At least 5-7 years of experience within the healthcare industry, particularly in healthcare technology or AI solutions

  • Proficiency selling clinical solutions at the VP and C-level within customer organizations.

  • Demonstrated success in an individual contributor role, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Experience working in a start-up environment characterized with a sense of urgency and high accountability.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of the healthcare sector, including regulatory requirements, reimbursement models, and procurement processes.

  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning technologies and their applications in healthcare.

Sales Expertise:

  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.

  • Experience in juggling and closing multiple long-cycle sales deals.

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly and persuasively.

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Experience in senior sales roles, providing strategic input and demonstrating leadership, even as an individual contributor.

  • Ability to work collaboratively, with mutual respect, across the organization’s  cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support.

Network and Relationships:

  • Established network of warm, go-to contacts within the healthcare industry, including key opinion leaders and decision-makers.

  • A hunger for seeking out opportunities to accelerate the sales process.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.

Technical Acumen:

  • Solid understanding of AI, machine learning, and healthcare technology.

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication, presentation and conceptual selling skills.

  • Exceptional writing skills, capable of promoting immediate credibility.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently.
