About the Role

As a Quality Engineer at Percipio, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance of our AI-driven healthcare products at the pace of a start-up. We believe that fast, incremental, continually added value is not at odds with quality, but rather that it is accelerated by it. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, UX, and healthcare domain experts to deliver products that are used by patients and clinicians daily. Trust is paramount in healthcare and you will be at the forefront of establishing and maintaining that trust.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures in compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., FDA, ISO).

  • Conduct risk assessments and establish risk management strategies for AI algorithms and software applications.

  • Perform validation and verification testing to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of our AI models and healthcare software.

  • Design and execute test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing.

  • Collaborate with software developers to integrate quality assurance practices into the software development lifecycle.

  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to quality assurance activities, including test reports, compliance documentation, and regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of proven experience in quality engineering.

  • Experience with software testing methodologies, tools, and practices.

  • Ability to write and maintain automated tests.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.


Beneficial, but absolutely not required
  • Experience in the healthcare or medical device industry.

  • Knowledge of quality management systems (ex. ISO 13485, FDA QSR) and regulatory requirements.

  • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and their application in healthcare is a plus.

  • Experience writing automated tests for web apps and React Native mobile apps.
